I've had my BE-50 for about a week. Fantastic amp, and Dave was kind enough to answer some questions I had.
To the fellow owners who record with Two Notes Torpedos, what are you using for cab IRs?
I sold my Ironball awhile back in favor of an Artist Edition, but I do miss it. Probably my favorite lunchbox amp next to the Friedman PT-20. Anyone going for white? https://axepalace.com/engl-ironball-white.html
So after having it for about a month a power tube blew ( and the corresponding fuse ). I replaced both the fuse and the tubes with a matched pair of EL34's. Now after another 2 months, it's making loud popping and feedback noises that continue even when on standby. The power tube failure...
For those also interested, I got a reply from Velvet Distribution here in the US "
The 50W Artist Edition will be arriving to the US next Feb/March. From what ENGL tells us, the voicing is a bit “creamier” than it’s 100W version. "
I have a Kemper inbound and currently have 3 tube amps ( Engl Ironball, PRS Archon and KSR Orthos ) that I'd like to profile. Has anyone tried using the Torpedo rather than mics as the source to profile on a Kemper? It seems like it would be an good solution, especially given the ease of...

Picked up a PT-20 yesterday. Fell in love with the tone at the shop, but when I got home there was something missing when I used my cabs ( Mesa's with V-30s ). I know the Friedman cab uses Creamback speakers, has anyone used that speaker in a different cab? Anyone have a different preference...
For anyone curious....here's a rough no vocal track, all Engl Artist Edition through a Two Notes Torpedo live. Gain at roughly 2 o'clock. The guitar is an Ibanez RGD7UC with stock Bareknuckle Aftermaths.
