I'd suggest an EQ pedal in the effects loop. I have a Danelectro Fish-n-chips, a fairly cheap but really good 7-band EQ, that I love with the tweaker. I've just picked up a set of JJ 6V6S tubes to try in the power section. I'll have a tone report when I get them installed.
