    ENGL Savage 120...thoughts???

I just know how hard they are to correct in a mix. That's why I hate em. Most studio technicians do too. The 80s ones... Might?... Be better. I just haven't seen many around these days. The ones I always run into are the 90s 2000s ones... Which do, in fact, suck. IMHO. But, some people really do...

    ENGL Savage 120...thoughts???

As I indicated, specifically, the 1960a with t-75s. Yeah. They do suck. The Marshall cabs with greenbacks or V30s are not horrible.

Is it possible to add power reduction switch to 300 watt amp?

Clarifying your question rather. Damn autocorrect.

Is it possible to add power reduction switch to 300 watt amp?

Ok then thanks for clarifying your quya not. Yeah, looks like you're going to have to go to a skilled amp modder. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Tune o matic "lock" screws. How are they called?

It's really late, what I meant to say was cheap Tom bridge, not a real tune o matic. I didn't realize I was missing a few words until after, and since they don't let you edit your posts here, I couldn't change it. But yeah, bottom line, replacing it with a Gotoh bridge would be best

Tune o matic "lock" screws. How are they called?

Regardless, you missed the point. those aren't the good versions. Nothing beats a good Gotoh

Tune o matic "lock" screws. How are they called?

That looks like a Tom bridge, not a tune o matic. You are better off buying a new Gotoh tune o matic bridge. never much cared for the bridges with adjustable set screws. Plus, they look funny. But if you insist, yeah, it's just an Allen screw any auto parts store might have it.

Is it possible to add power reduction switch to 300 watt amp?

Besides, the "power reduction" you are describing on a lot of amps these days are attenuators, not actual power reduction anyway, they are just internal. Buy an external one, just make sure it can handle your 300watts. The Bugera can't handle that much power but there are models out there than...

Try an attenuator instead like a Marshall power brake. Easier and less expensive alternative.

Your AVT2000 VALVE STATE doesn't suck.

Just fyi. I've had a Marshall AVT 2000 valve state 50w combo kicking around the studio for 2 decades. Having not used it for a long time, because of my collection of full tube amps has gotten quite large, I was about to sell it. Before putting it up on reverb, I was curious about a few things...

    advice on yearly guitar maintanence/care?

My routine is remove strings, clean entire guitar with naptha, condition all bare wood including fretboard with Howard feed and wax, (the best wood conditioner I've ever used), if nut is plastic, which is rare for me, lizard spit nut lube, (most of mine are bone of graphite which don't need...

Change light color on Engl Savage 120 mkII?

Anyone know how easy it would be and how exactly to change the internal blue light to an orange or red one like the victor smolsky version?

    ENGL Savage 120...thoughts???

That's why they make vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Different tastes. I happen to think the T-75 is quite possibly the worst speaker ever used in an expensive cab. It has no midrange, and obnoxiously harsh highs. But you do you man.

    ENGL Savage 120...thoughts???

Addendum. Just do yourself a favor and never run it through a Marshall cabinet, especially the 1960a with G12 T-75s in it Use a mesa or Engl cab. Marshall cabs kinda suck. Hell, I'd prefer a Harley Benton vintage cab to a Marshall 1960a.
