Apologies for not being clear. It is a mod to the amp. It allows the user to set the negative feedback in the power section. Makes the amp have more tonal range.

Honestly, it's one of my favorite amps now. So tight straight in.

Variable negative feedback kills in these.

Modded my MC50 to have resonance and variable negative feedback with a wider range and it kills even more. It's THICK now as well as crystal clear.

I noticed this more in the beginning. There is and adjustment at the end where you can fine tune the set gain if needed.

I did briefly. They may have updated it since. Always worth trying.

I wanted to like NAM but it doesn't capture amps with a cab and mic as I would like. Tonex does this very well. I prefer not to use IRs.

Tonex is a great unit and this is very reasonably priced.

Have tons of stuff listed. Sold one guitar recently. Everyone else wants to trade for stuff they don't want.

Swapped the 5881 for EL34 for a test and found that the amp sounded more like your clips. Lost some of the girth but gained some clarity in the highs. More like a Marshall for sure.
