Clip sounded great! I use a Variac the same way, I’ve heard various theories on biasing to match. I’ve never had an issue but it’s always in the back of my head that it may damage the amp.

I used the Fryette Valvulator GP/DI which is close to the Fryette PLIR. H90 in the loop with headphones, worked pretty well.

Reminds me of the Caveman Bogner head I had years ago (& regret selling). The Schizo knob on that amp gave a lot of textures. And the big light bulb was a nice conversation piece.

An acquaintance & big time producer/YouTuber told me he favored the Suhr RL IR after comparing to everything else out there. He said the impedance curve was the best.

I think that was Vivian’s idea. I was close with Buddy (Blaze) Webster, he had the original polka dot Swan at his place. He & Vivian argued about who owned the guitar. That guitar was really nice, super flat radius, maybe 16?

I personally have dealt with HJ, Kevin. Purchased a couple of 4x12 cabs, and received them timely. Good communication, always replied to my messages on IG quickly.

I have a MGL 50 high gain, v2. Merren formers, NOS Siemens EL34’s. It’s a killer, like the OP said, lots of range on the eq and gain structure. Mark at MGL was great to deal with also. Congrats on the new amp, enjoy it.
