This is an absolute beauty of an R8...which could probably even pass for an R9. A little over 8.5 lbs and no major dings, cracks, scratches, etc. I have several other Les Pauls though and I'm looking for some added variety. SOLD

It would appear that the Slax is more of a gain machine with more bottom end....but for those who have had or still have both, what are your thoughts between the two?

Anyone have experience with these versus traditional tolex? I've seen a few cab builders offer the option, namely Splawn. It seems like a good idea that could be very durable...but maybe someone knows of any downsides.
