The issue is resolved. I returned my old captor for a new one and this one works great.

So I've been recording with the captor for a few weeks and this thing sounds great. However tonight I hit a snag and can't figure this out. I wasn't able to get any sound into my DAW unless I also ran a speaker cable from the speaker out of the captor back to my marshall cab. Not a problem...
