The reason I went for Gotoh was the rest of the dimensions are exact. I can't confirm but after researching it, this seemed like the easiest option. OFR looked like a bit more routing and different posts I think.
Dimensions for both:

Changed the Floyd Rose JT-580 LP to a Ghotoh GE1996T-33-BK in the Jackson Pro Series DK2M Dinky. Needed a tiny bit of routing in the trem recess and different posts. Apart from that was drop-in.
I've seen some discussion in forums about whether this was possible as they are almost identical...
Why I still use mine:
1. MIDI auto-patch switching
2. No pedals or cables on stage
3. Crystal clear IEM or FRFR wedge monitoring
4. Can run a tube amp and cab from the output 2 with no cab sim for moving air and feedback
5. Audience don't care
6. Reliable, consistent and instant
7. Can run...

The "middle ground" option I used was having a single MIDI Mouse pedal on stage with a Patch UP and Patch DOWN. Then on the AxeFX just...
I try to approach it as logically as possible, asking myself questions like... Will anyone care? Do I care? Will it all sound shit anyway once pumped through a PA? What is least likely to cause problems? etc etc
I've found overtime that no one gives a shit what you use as they aren't at a show...
I agree.
Personally, his tone also sucks. Always has done. It's like a shrieking, thin, fizzy sound. Not helped by the fact he uses the Sustainer which can add a crap tonne of harmonics using the switch. It always sounds to me like a really poorly set up Solid State combo or something. Hard to...
