Love mine - it's been my primary TS style overdrive for years now, mainstay on the board. It doesn't a much better job holding the low end of the amp 'in tact', while adding the saturation and punch typically desired when using this type of OD on a high gain amp. May not be your favorite if...
Most stable block I've done on a PRS is wedging custom fitted wooden blocks on either side of the trem. When set up properly, you have 'parallel faces' between the block and body routes on both sides, so it blocks quite easily assuming you have the tools for the minor woodworking.
Can you clarify what exactly you were hoping to achieve/control by combining the two? May a more specific 'from/to' explanation? You need to be careful to only route the ES-8 within the front and and effects loop signal paths. Assuming you didn't cross any wiring to accidentally get any of the...
These types of switchers coming to market over the last few years have been amazing - as others have said, wiring up once and having 'quick access' without rewiring has really helped me more use my gear more regularly.
Specific to the KHE, while I don't own one (specific reason for this, see...
This looks like one of the Satin versions of the original 'Singlecut' model (not an SC-250). It would have had #7 pickups stock.
My thoughts based on all info so far:
- The 32 and 42 strings on a 10-52 set are WAY too heavy for Drop C# compared to the others (tension/feel wise). That will...
Have some thoughts, but would have to have a little more information:
- What tuning and strings do you use on the guitar? Anything overly unique about your setup preferences?
- Do you perceive it as acoustically dull, and that translates to the amplified sound as well? Or are the acoustic...
I have a 2466 - I've always absolutely loved it. I use the 'low' setting on the dynamic range pushed pretty hard for a light crunch sound, and use an overdrive (Fulltone OCD works great as an example) to push it into higher gain Marshall roar. It's a beautifully organic sound, and just a joy to...
Unless one is a straight collector, meaning they don't necessarily have an appreciation for the playing/musical instrument side of the guitar, I don't personally see the value in 'saving' guitars. They're mean to be played, and there's a 'magic' to the playing experience of a guitar that you...
Need to start this listing off a little differently than usual. If you're looking for a clean/collector's grade instrument, this is not for you. If you're looking for an LPC that is an absolute amazing instrument, and has the natural wear (but not damage/abuse) to show how much it's been...
Was about to say the same thing. My traditional straight is my favorite 412 by a good margin. Great overall cabinet, and pairs with other amplifiers much better than the OS in my opinion (I find it can get a bit 'unbalanced' with certain amplifiers - harder to dial out that scoop/low end rumble).
