Totally different clean channel. The Paul TO MY EARS sounds similar to a Two Rock or a Fender with more body and a tad more low mids. The gain is indeed Diezel which is amazing
Just got this from Thoman, what a freaking amp.
I previously had an Einstein 50w and a VH4. Sold them because I was not playing much electric guitar, I was mostly gigging as an acoustic act. After watching all the videos out there on the Paul I took the jump and wow. NONE of the clips make...
I am about to pull the trigger on a Diezel Paul but I saw a Schmidt pop up and it intrigues me. How heavy can you get the Schmidt? I don't need it to do Cannibal Corpse but I want it to at least get to Metallica type of gain, is that possible without boosting the hell out of it?
Hello everyone, long time no see, anyone interested in selling their used Paul? I'm in Poland, so it'd be more convenient to buy from someone in Europe
Cheers.
Haven't been in this forums for years now but it's sad to read how immature and overall pitiful a lot of the comments here still are. Some of you are grown men with families and kids I assume and you come here to be 16 y/o again talking about how a musician is not this or not that, or rambling...
thank you bro, I appreciate it. I think the Paul will be my next amp but I need make sure I really like the Clean channel since I live there 70% of the time. I don't ask much honestly, just pure clean, maybe play with the settings a bit here and there, some reverb and a bit of delay and if you...
thank you Olaf, not many Paul videos around and the ones that are there people spend 80% of the time on the dirty channels.... why people don't like clean ? :D
Diezel has a very tough path of trying to diversify a bit (if that is indeed something Peter would want) because most people attach the...
"glory days" is such a subjective thing.
Bands evolve, artists CREATE, not imitate. They are not interested in imitating their old style, it's modern day Metallica, deal with it. I for one love the album.
I will go try one, or order one to try as soon as I'm back from holidays. To me it's all about the feel of the amp and I like amps to feel bouncy and even a bit "lose" and elastic which the Diezel amps I've owned (Einstein and VH4) didn't not have. They were fantastic for rock and metal and I'd...
Interesting that you say that because I just realised it's kind of true. The album feels like Hetfield's solo project and it's hard to pinpoint why but here's my reasoning for it:
First: the songs are incredibly riff and vocal melody oriented, even more than other albums. For example the old...
It sounds incredibly good and close to the actual thing. For those of you that are stuck in thinking you cannot use a pedal over a real amp etc etc.... I'm 100% sure you wouldn't know it's a pedal on a live situation or a recorded tone for that matter, even more so if it's in a band context with...
