I fully expected NOT to like this but I really did like it - it reminds me of why I love Deep Purple and Gillan's voice. Good track and great guitar playing that fits the spirit of the band. And of course a great keyboard solo. Thumbs up.

I would agree with the OP. When I purchased my first Recto in 1999 my guitar playing friends looked at me like I was some sort of pariah. Today, folks stress over what revision etc. and pay top dollar for that "original" Orange channel :-)

I agree with the OP......"Raw AF" should be a musical term taught at Berkley :-) Hard to believe the same band would create things like "La Villa Strangiato" just a few years later.

Overpriced, but I got my 1999 R9 at the nice price from a close friend. The guitar is an absolute "keeper" and sings like a tuning fork. Swell looker too.
