Thanks for the kind words. It blows for sure, but that’s life. Price drop, $2000 shipped.

I just WAY overpaid for this....

It's a 50/50 shot depending on the store and who wants to make a sale. I've asked a few times and they did pop the cab to find out that they had been swapped.

    Suhr SE 100

Good 4 gainstage modded Marshall. Have had 2 versions in the past. Kinda smoother than a Marshall, more like a Friedman. Only thing I didn’t like about it was by 3 on the gain knob, you’re in high gain 80’s gain ala reb beach, so not the best for lower gain 1959/2203 tones. It’s a really fun...

    What happened to Bob Bradshaw

I know he’s had email troubles in the past. Search through the CAE Facebook page and you should be able to find his backup email account. May want to try that.

SOLD: 2002 Les Paul Standard 50’s $2000 shipped conus

2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard with 50’s neck. Light guitar in the 8 lb range. Neck is close to most r9’s I’ve played. Not huge by any means. Completely stock with the addition of a Mojoaxe Truss Rod cover and aftermarket gator hardcase. Really great guitar to play, but bills are piling up and...

    Tone Reminder Green Day

That was a CAE modded 70’s 1959 with Suhr’s crunch mod. V30’s and a BL 500XL in the bridge of his strat. Probably mic’d with a 57 and MD421(assuming they copied the recipe from Dookie). Resident Green Day gear guy here and actually have a 79 2203 with the crunch mod done at CAE. The amp is...

Splawn Quick Rod vs Suhr SE 100?

I found that both iterations of the SE100/SE lead mod were fairly similar to the BE100 with the sat switch engaged. Very smooth circuit with tons of gain. Pretty lose as well considering the amount of gain. Very fun amp if you’re after that type of tone/feel. Sold both of mine because I found...

    2203 Clone

Rockitt retro builds a cheapish 2203 circuit. Called the 76’. My buddy had one and it’s pretty good. Stacked up well against the 77 2203 I had.

double NAD - José and Golub (José VIDEO now added)

Crunch generally was a 470uf and Dookie was 220. I prefer the 470 as it sounds a bit more aggressive compared to the 220.

double NAD - José and Golub (José VIDEO now added)

Dookie was just Cavallo’s crunch modded JMP. They would do one take with a cleaner middier setting and then another take with more gain and more scoop in the mids. The “Lead” amp didn’t come in till insomniac. I do have to disagree with op about the low-mid gain tones. I feel that’s where the...

Sold: Fryette PS100 $950 Shipped CONUS

Second go around with one of these cool things, but the MV is great on my amp, so i really don’t need it. Included factory box and power cable. Asking $950 shipped CONUS PayPal f&f preferred, add 3.5% if goods and services. Only trade I could be potentially looking for is a MIJ Les Paul...

Jesus... Happy New Year - 2 Karens in a week on Reverb..

Sadly that’s the way it goes in the era of Amazon prime one day shipping bullshit. I bet it’ll soon be the standard expectation for everything to be overnighted on the sellers dime.

Lets talk Marshall's JMP versus SLP ect

Loved the shit out of the 77 2203 I had. Turns out in this clip, the old 6550’s in it were getting like 3x the voltage they should be. I ended up selling it to a member here after I recapped it and converted to el34’s. Just prefer my Golub modded 2203 from 79.
