I actually enjoyed that a ton. While I don't personally relish the idea of playing into something with that level of complexity, I dig the fact that those two can get away with it. The bass side of things was actually more interesting to me. I think both of those guys are incredible though.
Dear Kit,
Stop being a lefty. How am I supposed to come in here and congratulate you while secretly hoping you get sick of the guitar in two weeks and sell it to me? I have to come in here and genuinely congratulate you. That's just ridiculous. LOL.
Not that it makes a difference either way, but didn't Tim renounce his Christianity awhile ago? Lifting weights basically became his religion after that.
I'm used to rolling into a NGD thread with a ridiculous pun, but I've had some weird infection for the last week. I didn't even have the energy to play the guitar or put the thread together.
Friday was pretty ridiculous. It arrived at the UPS hold facility around 7am. Everyone at work was...
I think you can only order directly from Laboga. I was about to do the same for a Mr Hector years ago, but one popped up used on eBay just in time. I also LOVED that amp.
Yeah. The stock hi gain rigs are AWFUL! I felt the exact same way. There are some absolutely incredible free rigs on the Kemper page though. Keith Merrow's 5150 Red profile is absolutely killer. I still use it way more than the Amp Factory rigs that I purchased. I highly recommend...
I had a Kemper, Axe-FX Ultra, and Axe-FX II all together for about a year. Now, I have two Kempers and an Axe-FX Ultra. In terms of amp sims and ease of use, the Kemper is all I need. The only reason I still have my Ultra is because the effects are superb.
I have a 26.5" Schecter SLS C-1 EX. I was someone who really disliked Schecter for years. The new SLS series feels great. The body width and neck profile feel really comfortable. I have it tuned to drop Bb, and it stays in tune very well and intonates without issues. It would be right in...
I actually checked these out a few months ago. Like stated before....free is free. I wasn't dazzled by what I heard in the actual classes. However, I ended up having some cool conversations with the instructor and a few other attendees afterwards that helped me out.
Good luck with the EV's. I had two crap out on me paired with the Axe-FX II. My guitarist and I are both using a Mackie HD1221 with a QSC K10 on top. They balance each other out really well.
I love the JP series, but I despise the company. I got banned from their forums for mentioning my JPX had some VERY minor finish issues with the finish. I know several other owners that has happened to. That's why I'll only buy their guitars 2nd hand now.
