Look no further than the V30s, this is your prob. They are great speakers but they MUST be broken in before they will hit their tonal sweet spot. Try putting the speakers through a loop at very high volume with the cab facing down on the floor, throw a few blankets over the top and let it go...

All in all I think they're "okay" and actually commend them for having success at putting out some straight up rock and roll in this day and age BUT...the lead singer is too..."screechy". That and the schtick, it's just too much for me. As someone earlier mentioned, I really like The Darkness...

If your style of music is metal and you're wanting aggressive tone and youre not able to get it out of your 20th Shiva??? IDK, something doesn't add up. Perhaps your idea of aggression is fizz, can-o-bees type tone from your amp?? Yeah the Bogner aint going to help you out in the dept.

Where do you have the gain set at? The MV, volume as well as the gain all kinda go hand-in-hand.

I currently have a 20th 101B and from what I understand the complaints with the 101B red channel were addressed with the 20th. The complaints were that the red channel was too compressed, too gainy and too dark sounding. The blue channel on the 101B versus the 20th seems to be better to a lot...

I have a 2004 silver chassis Shiva (EL34 w/verb) and the loop works great providing you have the correct ducking cable which I had Lava make me, one for pedals and one for rack gear, and the loop sounds great as it should. I haven't played a green chassis Shiva so unfortuantely I can't compare...

The TS variety of pedals never tend to work well with Marshall style amps and were always voiced for giving a Fender amp gain at lower volumes and/or a boost in the mids so that your solo can stand out in a mix. I figured this out long ago when having my own headaches with drive and boost...

*Update* I finally got all the quirks worked out of this amp...whew! The quirks were: 1 - Popping on the clean channel...pop-pop-pop-pop. It was a bad ground connection around the standby switch. 2 - Noise that wasn't normal for an amp of this caliber. It was some bad caps throughout the tone...

*Update* FYI...This prob was related to a bad ground connection around the standby switch. Paint was scraped away and the popping went away.

I would wonder if in the 5 yrs you've had the cab if you've been able to really crank it and get those V30s a chance to break in knowing that they need that to sound their best.

I have no volume from the red channel in normal mode but do when I switch it over to plexi. Any ideas what the prob could be?

I had Lava Cables make me one for pedals and one for rack gear and they both work great. They gonna cost about $120 ea.
