The power transformers are faulty, the vietnamese output transformers actually sound great, a little more hifi to my ears, the pts have issues with mechanical hum and super low voltages for this was suppose to be, the move to cheaper labor was a botched job and I'm not surprised to see them on sale.

Nice clip! It depends on the year of the mod because it was evolving along the way, the production amp uses DC heaters and a RF cap for stability, I think you can compensate the differences with the presence knob honestly.

My favorite setting on the Alta is response on zero and presence turned up meaning more NFB just like the og plexi circuits, if you guys haven't tried that yet please do, it unlocks some doors.
