I needed an all tube combo amp that had lots of clean headroom and a warm fat overdrive. I already sent back the DSL40c with the Creamback speaker because the gain channel sounded like nails on a chalkboard even after new tubes and a treb cap mod. I already sent back an Egnator Tweaker 40...

I am considering adding a matched extension cab ( egnator 112x ) to my Tweaker 40 combo in hopes of better bass response and maybe a bit more clean headroom at a louder volume. What changes will I hear if I were to do so? Thanks :rock:

Anything after 10-11 o'clock is starting to break up. :doh: I checked the bias and I adjusted from 73 to 65 and now I guess I have to change preamp tubes or add the additional 112 cab. Has anyone done this?
