I've read enough horror stories of both seller and buyer getting screwed that I don't think this solves anything, and just makes paypal less desirable as a seller. Sellers can insist on bank transfers etc, and that would still leave the buyer high and dry after all.
I pretty much only...
I wonder what happened to the rest of those because they're almost like the run that never was - they very rarely pop up either for sale, or even just people showing them off..
What works for one guitar isn't the same as what works for two, just like what works at home isn't what works with a band. Two heavily distorted guitars laden with effects are just going to be muddy, so I'd suggest starting off with no effects at all and then add them sparingly...
Yeah, 'fraid so. Lovely woods and Joe Knaggs obviously has a great reputation so I'm not knocking the build in the slightest, it's just the visual doesn't work for me at all. Especially that one with the pickguard and the tiered / forearm cut thing. But to each their own..
Have a look through some of the mid 2000s catalogues because I'm sure they did alder bodied Soloists with non stained tops..

For other suggestions:
Testament: Practice what you Preach
White Lion: Wait / Broken Heart
Metallica: Shortest Straw
Megadeth: Tornado of Souls / Hook in Mouth
I have 85s in the bridge of all but one of my EMG loaded guitars. I much prefer it over the 81, which is OK for old school thrash IMO, but doesn't do the more 80s sound I like. I find the 81 is very 'dead' sounding, whereas the 85 has that warmth to it that I'm looking for.
