I'd have to check. All I know is what you heard is accurate to what mine has always sounded like, and just curious to know if that's what a 50% gain channel 3 VH4 is supposed to sound like, or if it's closer to his.
Mines around a 2003, and his is a 98. As far as tubes I'm not completely sure, but this has been a known issue for me personally since I got mine, and I've got through a few different tube replacements and changes through the years just trying to figure out what the deal was.
I bought my 2003-ish VH4 used YEARS ago. Sometime around 2007-2008 I think. I had owned a Herbert before then, and it was awesome, but for my needs a VH4 was what I wanted. I distinctly remember getting it and being a bit let down initially by what I heard. It sounded good, but not in the way I...
Hi everyone! Hopefully someone here can help me. So I have a 1994, silver chassis, 2 channel dual rectifier, and its acting up. It's powering on, but it's not activating the channel like normal no matter which channel is selected. This of course means I get no sound. It did this yesterday, but...
Hey so this is just a kind of preliminary question lol. I don't have any clips at the moment, but I am gonna get some together when I can.
So my channel 3 just doesn't seem to have as much gain at the halfway point as it should. I've tried a variety of tubes since I've had it, but no...
That was all just general thoughts, didn't have anything to do with the clip really :) I thought it sounded good! I'd really like to hear the blueface by itself with the "JonezTonez" settings if you wouldn't mind sharing. I'm interested in hearing how it differs from the 2001 I got.
Nice man! If there's only 2 things I've learned about trying to record Jonez tones it's:
1. Always start out with the diezel first, then bring the marshall into the mix. That Marshall can overpower the mix very quickly in my experience.
2. Never forget that that turd is always recording every...
I always had a really powerful inclination that Adam swapped out the box for that head. Most of the ones I've ever seen with the plastic switches had the smaller boxes.
Btw, where'd you grab that pic?
I liked the song, but I have to agree that there are definitely better tone/style options for showing off the capabilities of amps, other than extreme drop-tuned, 7-string, metal chug, however nifty it may sound or not.
I haven't taken the wah apart yet or anything, and I'm not all that pedal savvy, where should I spray this stuff when I get it, or how should I go about applying it? Thanks :)
Did that already, I was talking about the solder connections. I don't have an iron, or any soldering experience at the moment. I do plan on learning though, so I can do this crap myself. I just want to see if my "bad solder" theory is true.
