I'd have to check. All I know is what you heard is accurate to what mine has always sounded like, and just curious to know if that's what a 50% gain channel 3 VH4 is supposed to sound like, or if it's closer to his.
Mines around a 2003, and his is a 98. As far as tubes I'm not completely sure, but this has been a known issue for me personally since I got mine, and I've got through a few different tube replacements and changes through the years just trying to figure out what the deal was.
I bought my 2003-ish VH4 used YEARS ago. Sometime around 2007-2008 I think. I had owned a Herbert before then, and it was awesome, but for my needs a VH4 was what I wanted. I distinctly remember getting it and being a bit let down initially by what I heard. It sounded good, but not in the way I...
Hi everyone! Hopefully someone here can help me. So I have a 1994, silver chassis, 2 channel dual rectifier, and its acting up. It's powering on, but it's not activating the channel like normal no matter which channel is selected. This of course means I get no sound. It did this yesterday, but...
Hey so this is just a kind of preliminary question lol. I don't have any clips at the moment, but I am gonna get some together when I can.
So my channel 3 just doesn't seem to have as much gain at the halfway point as it should. I've tried a variety of tubes since I've had it, but no...

I was just plucking around at low volume earlier when I started...
So I just got my VH4 in the mail (used) and when I was messing around I noticed it was sounding REALLY dark, almost like my tone knob on my guitar was down a bit. I noticed that the plastic index piece on the far left tube was broken off, although none of the actual tube pins were. It's safe to...
Well I've made a few posts already but I just wanted to say hi to everyone on here, and make it all "official like" :) .
I've been a Diezel owner of the same amp for about 6 years now, give or take a bit, and I've loved every second of playing these amps. I've only had to deal with customer...
Let me get it out of the way first thing, I'm no fool... I've been on the internet long enough to know how not to be swindled :) Having said that, I've been curious for a bit now if anyone on here has ever had any experience with trading diezel amps either between other people online, or by some...
