I'll tell you, I play on tour in a band with Tony over here in France right now, having to do a guitar solo battle-style with him every night is humbling, ha ha! He is a very interesting guitar player- he really doesn't approach the guitar like most of us, and I attribute that to his classical...
Heya fellas!
Just for clarity- I use the PT100 CH1 often, in these pedal vids, precisely because it is really a BF Fender type circuit. So if you use a Fender-ish clean, you're hearing an excellent representation of that in these vids I make! Thanks for all the kind words,
Pete
Hey guys, thanks for watching!
Many requests for a jam during the show, so we did one with next weeks guest- Justin Derrico- and man he plays some KILLER shit. I set up 3 big heads and 3 4-12"s for us, and Justin's playing my SL68 (with a beautiful LP), he just rips! Next thursday it'll be...
Hiya, thanks for posting my vid! This pedal is for sure meant to be in front of a clean sound, and I really like it- kina "Steve Vai"-ish or something, a great fat lead tone, Marshally, but with full mids. Notice when i go way up high it sings- it's not piercing. Feels great to play as well!
Thanks guys- really, I put all the controls on 5, plugged it into my PT100 CH1, and hit one chord and was like, ooh shit- nice! And you can see in the vid, I'm not far off from those settings. I dunno HOW people make some of this stuff sound so bad, frankly. Anyway, thanks for watching!
Thanks much!
The guitar is a mutt i bought off Ebay- Musikraft body I think... old floyd... schallers and a Motor City 2nd Degree Blackbelt.. I haven't changed anything on it since I got it, it's a fun guitar. it needed a good setup so I took it to Eric at Lush Guitars here in...
The Suhr PT100 ch1, into Suhr Reactive Load, and an ownhammer IR of a 1977 Blackback g12M in a Marshall 1960 B cab. Exact same load setup/speaker IR I used to record "The Groomed Noodler" with the Suhr SL67.
Hey dudes thanks for the kind words!
It's just a great sounding pedal to my ears- to get the brown thing, just keep the game down a bit below half, boost the bass and treble a bit and have the mids halfway or a bit less. Use an amp with fender style clean with no bright cap or bright switch on...
