I don't have any K100s these days. Been a while for those.
Appreciate the kind words! The Bauers are siiiiiick guitars. I have 3 lol. The Strat is my main one, but I also have my original custom flying V from him and a custom koa topped V with a Dime headstock and Floyd.
Old pic, but the only...
I bought 12 of them and haven't had any issues. Wonder what the percentage of issues is. One guy vs how many they've shipped wouldn't justify not getting one. Hard to say QC is suffering with a single anecdotal report.
I now have 3 412s loaded with them. They're awesome speakers. This was my first video with them, comparing to V30s. I have put up a handful of videos at this point.
Nice! I use the blue channel on my 50S to jam in between songs at band practice so it's not ear drum busting volume haha. But I don't really use it much beyond that.
I've had a few Duvells, and they are really great guitars! I didn't keep them because I am more of a V guy on stage, and at home I play my custom strat 90% of the time, and having a few $4k+ guitars that weren't getting used much didn't make sense. But yeah, awesome guitars! The Archon is great...
There's a BIIIIG dude locally that plays headless guitars. Usually has a stand with 6 of them or something on stage. They look like screwdrivers when he is playing lol. Tiny little things. I see the benefit for travel, but agree. They look ridiculous.
I've had 3 Explorers, and I didn't keep any of them long. I agree about the fin. It was in the way. And I didn't think the first fret was way out there, but it was just in a weird spot. I've been playing mostly Vs and Strats most of my life, and the Explorer first fret is like right in between...
I've played each iteration of them, but not extensively, as well as a Tubemeister Deluxe 40 (which I owned). They are definitely not my thing. They have a very recto-ish low end. Big and loose and bloomy. With a boost, they can do metal just fine. Cleans are really great. That's all I got lol.
Yeah, whatever that 5-6k thing is. I don't think I've ever even owned a Chinese V30. Mine have all been Mesa V30s ranging from 2003-2023, and they have all had this.
I haven't had any issues with Karnivores cutting through a mix...
