As noted earlier in this thread..once you get to that elite level, it's not really about the talent or ability..it's really just the personality each person brings to their music.

Great mix Race!..but I agree with Japetus...a touch too much gain and compression from the 5153.
That said, If I was in the bar I'd buy a 2nd beer and and stick around for this tone.
I've used it in an Engl Fireball and Block Letter (in V1)..and also in a Rocktron Pirahana preamp. Great in Both.
It reminds me of a sweeter version of the Tung Sols.
I've built 4 of them..just for reference...it's usually in the $12-1400 with pickups/hardware etc..for doing it up nice. I usually pay my local tech at the music store to wire and set it up though..so could possibly save 1-200 if you do those things yourself, or even more if you can do the...
