I knew Jim back before he was in Slipknot, playing in the Des Moines scene with his band, Atomic Opera. Great dude and so talented. He should do a solo album because he can absolutely shred and doesn’t really get a chance to in Slipknot.
Sweet rig. GK stuff is solid and love your pedalboard. Here’s my rig for the corporate gigs I play a couple of times a year. I have two Fender Player precisions that I run through it.
Yes. ideally if your XTC is dry (no fx) through the 4x12 and your 2x12’s are wet (100% fx). Some people run some dry in their wet cabs as well but the consensus seems to be that the wet cabs sounds best running 100% wet.
This tour was my first concert. Still my favorite Priest album. The fact that Halford can still sing everything from their catalog at age 72 is mind-boggling. The true Metal God!
I have quite a few 1x12’s. I run stereo and WDW rigs in a home setting so they make the most sense to me. Of the 1x12’s I own, the Mesa wide body 3/4 back cabs have the most thump and sound closest to a 4x12 to me.
I have fourteen Jackson/Charvels but I haven’t bothered taking pictures of them all. Here’s a couple of old pics of my two USA Select KV2’s and my tobacco burst SL1.
