    Gibson bumblebee capcitor damage?

When I'm messing around with the wires today, I accidently touched the bridge tone cap with my solder pencil, which melt a little bit of the shell, causing a dimp on the surface. I checked, and found that the dimp did not pass through the shell, and stays only on the surface. I rolled the tone...

Can any one help me identify Gibson Custombucker?

Thanks! But when I'm adjusting the pole screws, It seems that there is something coming out from the gap between the bobbin and the screws (wax?) . Plus, the pickup condition is pretty beat up, so I assume it is a earlier potted one. But it still sounds great and more twangy than the BB...

Can any one help me identify Gibson Custombucker?

Recently I bought a Gibson humbucker, which the seller said it is a CB from a custom shop guitar. It only has a PAF sticker on on the back, without the white sticker with models written on it. I know it is a legit Gibson PAF but I don't know if it is a CB. I have a 2010 R8 which has BBs in it...

Thanks! I absolutely like the chrome back ones better, but I only got the Bill & Becky models. I will definitely try the vintage one!

Is your PRS in standard E tuning?...How does it sound? I recently ordered a painkiller for my ESP eclipse and I really worried it would sound too thin, trebly and lack of bass in standard tuning or drop D. Thanks!

Then I think it might sound the same in mine...That's too bad..(ಥ_ಥ) I think I'm gonna try to dial the EQs in my effect loop to tame the treble and give the bass a extra boost...By the way I love Motor City haha, I've tried some of their pups. I'm also a big fan of Bill Lawrence, I got a...

Is the Bare Knuckle Painkiller suitable for Standard E or Drop D?....

Thank u so much for your reply! Gosh I really should ask before order...Haha but actually my eclipse is now installed with a SH-6b, and I think the bass is totally enough and quite tight too, I ordered the PK because I saw the EQ chart is quite similar to the SH6...(and maybe my eclipse is also...

Is the Bare Knuckle Painkiller suitable for Standard E or Drop D?....

I've just ordered a painkiller for my ESP eclipse ii (not the full-thickness one), and I rarely play any heavily downtuned stuff in my band. (but I play modern riffs and really dig the tightness and the high&low mids of the PK) I've watched a lot of reviews but their guitars are all heavily...
