I could never get past the dichotomy of the lyrics and Chris's shirtless buff 6 pack. Looks like a guy who really really really watches what he eats and has a gym membership. No doubt. Doesn't quite mesh with the "grunge" movement. Good singer tho, could always hit the high notes ala Robert...
Dave's lead tones seem to be different than the rhythm but it' still pretty straight forward, yet I can't put my finger on it.
I haven't seen much online or live, maybe his tech is turning on/off effects for him?
Is it just an eq that boosts certain frequencies? I find the same tone happening in...
I have a MXR Carbon Copy for a delay, does anyone use this pedal or similar in a live rig but also with reverb?
Not sure if reverb works for live situations on top of the delay.
Just got back into playing live so looking to try something different.
Hey Guys,
Not sure if this is a common issue or much discussed but couldn't yield a search result.
Anyways I find when I palm mute the D string anywhere from the 3rd to 12th fret it's very dead, like not chunky.
I'm pretty sure it's fretting out or can't take a heavy stroke but my 5th and 6th...
Aiming to clean and organize my gear. I see a lot of guys with awesome shelving units for their heads, just wondering if you had a redo what would it be?
I still play these a lot and with different cabs, just not for gigs, so I'm thinking I need it on wheels to reach behind and hook up stuff...
Our band just bought a used PA. It's a powered board with 2 mains and 2 monitors, all passive speakers.
What I'm hoping to achieve is 2 monitor mixes so I need either a small amp or a powered speaker.
Is it possible to get either of those on the cheap?
Can you use a variac to compensate for wonky electricity in live situations?
Like in case you're playing at a place where you're not getting enough juice to the amp?
I'm sure there are better solutions but I do have one and thought I could put it to use.
I don't know what's going on but my main bridge pickups, ToneZone and SuperDistortion, don't seem to be as hot as they used to be.
I've had my amp checked, cables, soldering. When you put your guitar volume on 10 the strings used to be really lively, almost too hot, you couldn't touch them...
