50 or 100 watt? I have the BE-50 Deluxe and it doesn't have C45. It has Sat and the three way Gain Structure switch on the back.
The 100 watt does have it, though. But you lose out on the Buxom Betty clean with the 100, which IMHO is the whole reason to get the 50 (not knocking the Plexi clean...
Just thought I'd add to the thread. I've been here since the very beginning (might be in the first ten RT members?) but haven't posted very often in recent years. In that time my gear collection has definitely grown (working in IT and having a huge line of 0% credit at Sweetwater and GC...
Yes. There was the LS100G3 and then the 50 watt version (same chassis and layout). The LS30 is the same circuit but small form factor and a 30 watt power section.
I made a quick clip of my LS100G3 through my PS2 into the Axe FX for a Friedman GB cab sim with a ribbon mic.
Not my greatest playing but I was making it up to demo the amp :)
Note the reverb is the Axe FX not the amp. The reverb on the versions with the spring reverb isn't that great (even...
I have an LS100G3 from 2016 and continue to find new sounds in it. I don't have experience with Wizards other than clips, but my sense is that the Wizard will be more "glassy" while the Landry will have a more liquid tone and feel to it, like a Mesa Mark series (but without the Mesa EQ). Based...
Been a while since I posted, but wanted to share since I'm quite happy with this setup!
So, having moved to California two years ago and running into the challenges of not having much space for, well, anything, I finally got around to getting myself a proper recording desk with rack space. I'd...
I think the only change I would make to the amp is have multiple values available for the bright switch on the lead channel. It reminds me of B2 on the Ecstasy, which cuts well and adds a ton of aggression, but can be a bit ice-picky. Sometimes I feel like I want a bright that’s in between off...
I've had my Gemini since 2021 (incidentally, the one Joe Satriani used to own, and I believe used on his Shapeshifter album if the "Gear Thanks" in the album book means anything), and when I first got it I wasn't finding myself getting along--probably because I've mostly been in the Marshall...
Figured I'd chime in with my experience. I've been playing electric for about 20 years now, and tube amps for just as long (started with a used Peavey Ultra 212 I got for like $300 on eBay around 2002 -- what a beast!). I've had most of the modelers starting with the Line 6 POD, which was cool...
I'm definitely loving mine. The stock and blue modes on the gain channel are fantastic, chunky SLO-ish goodness. Smooth yet ripping at the same time. Palm mutes are tons of fun. I initially got turned on after the latest Axe FX 3 updates, the SLO models are stupid good in there now and got me...
KSR Gemini or Colossus. Kyle started out building SLO clones and it shows in his amps. They're a little less hairy than a SLO, but still have that chunky goodness that makes your guitar sound huge. Kind of like if a SLO had more Mark series midrange and smoothness to my ears. A lot more...
