I use Logic Pro X, Pro Tools and Cubase Elements/AI. Why use 3? Because Cubase has the best drum midi programming and is probably my favorite go-to DAW for quick recording. Logic is similar, except it has better synths but worse midi editor.
Nothing comes close to mixing audio in Pro Tools.
Did a cover of Castles in the Air. Pain in the ass to program the drums by ear, but yeah it sounds close enough.
Left the quiet vocals in there because I don't have a Strymon Big Sky to do that pad sound they do in the quiet part.

Hey,
I think it sounds very good. As for low end, I think I'd turn up the bass guitar a bit. I had to check your thread and noticed you actually had recorded bass guitar. The guitars and drums sound bad ass.
I have a 2 channel Mesa Dual Recto that I'm thinking of sending to Mesa for maintenance and modding to pre-500 specs.
Just a little back-story about this particular amp. I bought it a few years ago and it was messed with. The pots were not original and I'm not sure what else was changed in it...
Have any of you guys encountered this?
I installed WoS 4.2.6 AAX on my MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.4
The installation goes fine but then when I go to launch it, the GUI doesn't show up at all only the Pro Tools plugin container.
I checked the security settings and installation is set...
GrooveHT was kind enough to send me his old gen 1 Axe FX Standard to mess with. Yes I know the Gen 2 is a lot better and comparing it to my Kemper is not exactly a fair comparison but either way, here are my initial impressions:
It's really nice. Some stuff is a bit better than the kemper...
I bought this plugin a few days ago and it's been pretty cool to fiddle with. Here's a solo part from a song I'm messing around with. The solo is a rough idea I'm still working through so yeah... clams galore.
Signal chain
Kiesel vm7 -> countryman type 85 di box split for monitoring with Kemper...
Ok guys so I had this guitar for about a week now and I figured I'd post my thoughts on it after the initial giddiness wore off.
Specs:
Ash wings - Antique Ash finish
Maple 5-pc neck with Black Limba stripes - Tung Oil finish
Zebrawood fretboard
SS frets
Lithium pickups - Duncan Pegasus/Sentient...
Completely different guitars so it's not a scientific test by any means... But it'll give you an idea of what the new Kiesel pups sound like compared to something more familiar.
