I lived in Las Vegas a few times. Last time was a year ago. I was amazed at how bad the music shops and local music scene was.

Sam Ash and Guitar Center was actually the best in town.
It only got worse after that.

Local guys were only open M-F and I was there on the weekend, so no dice.

It's like they don't want to sell anything. Why are so many local shops like that? Open 9-5 M-F. Want to buy something...take some time off work.

A lot of them are not even shops. It's run out of someone's house. It is beyond pathetic.

I did meet some very cool punk people. But if you ask me LV is mostly about magic acts and dance shows as far as entertainment goes.
