I caved. i am powerless, i feel as tho i need a 12 step program. I sold 2 guitars this week to fund the purchase.

Ernie Ball JPX inbound! Talked the Guitar Center into 10% off, got a good deal on it. GC used pics were typical - almost impossible to really tell anything about it. Called and talked to one of the locals and got them to send me some pics, looks very clean. Should be here by the weekend!

I can't believe how good this guitar is. it's a 2010 model and doesn't appear to have spent much time out of the case. pristine. and it is just a massive player!!! holy shit, where has EBMM been all my life???
 
Sweet guitar. I LOVE ebony fretboards. I know the feeling, sometimes you see an amp or guitar and you are powerless, you know or at least feel that it needs to be an essential piece of your guitar rig. You know it’s the missing piece that will make your rig complete.

In the words of a mental health professional, it’s known as utter insanity or delusional thinking. Guitars and amps drive us to the furthest frontiers of our sanity. Many times, I have been to the brink, and I have gone over the edge a handful of times. I have devolved into a base level mentally deficient imbecile convincing myself I need a certain guitar or amp. I tell myself whatever I have to in order to convince myself I need it. I can even take a step back and see the irrational logic in convincing myself I need it. Yet, I go ahead and get the guitar or amp.

I think it’s just part of being an avid guitarist. Maybe most of you can’t relate to what I’m saying and I am completely nuts and lost in space. Such is life. Oh well.
