Vinnie Vincent - What Is Going On?

I think we all know about Mr.Vincent by now. The drama seems endless with this man. Here is a brief rundown:

- Vinnie plays as a session guy a few unsuccessful bands and a "Happy Days" TV show.
- Joins, then leaves KISS after helping with songwriting in the early 80s.
- Makes the VVInvasion with Robert Flieshman and then Mark Slaughter
- Both albums are flops and he is dropped from the label
- Mark goes onto to become multi platinum selling with Slaughter
- Vinnie helps out in the early 90s KISS album "Revenge".
- Vinnie then goes into hiding, holding back all his new music
- His wife is murdered, 4 dogs found dead on his property, and is arrested for assult

- He announces a return, this "return" lasts from around 2010, till today. Promises music.
- He cancels a lot of the meet and greets days before, leaving fans stranded
- He arranges meet and greets costing fans hundreds of dollars just to get a photo with him

- He bans almost everyone from his group and charges people $200 a year to join

- He announces hes working with a UK based singer Faysal, teases music, but keeps delaying

- He announces shows then quickly cancels them

So what's the deal? As a fan you get no music for 30+ years, then you have to pay $200 to join his fan club, $250 for a selfie at a meet and greet? This is on top of promising lots of stuff and never delivering.

It's a shame because I really dig Vinnie's 80s music.

Weirdo, i met him once in the mid 90s, he was a strange human, his wife at the time did most of the talking.

I can think of another bullet point for your list.

His aspirations and self-image exceed what he can achieve on his own, but he also doesn't play well with others. He seems fairly talented, but like a lot of talented people, he's his own worst enemy.

God more Ace. Truly that guy is on his last 10 remaining brain cells, even in his recent interviews the guy is barely functioning.

I mean literally nobody, I mean nobody unless you were living under a rock or frozen the past 20 years thought Ace was in Kiss. At this point Ace is right there with Hagar on lamenting the past.

Let it end, please!

Plus he put out an instructional video which was mostly useless noise. He's a diva, for whatever reason, and thinks he's way more important than he really is.
Yep, pretty simple. Guy could have stayed in Kiss forever but when you think you're bigger than what you are this is what happens. Truly a nut job.

Haha yeah if you read the "Kills and Tell" book written by one of Ace's party buddies, he's really not a full deck...

He's slow sloppy, Vinnie was fast sloppy.

He's a great songwriter, especially when he's co-writing. I love his solos on the "Creatures of the Night" and "Lick it up" albums. After that his solos sounded like he was on the strongest Meth on the planet. I kept hoping he'd live up to his potential, but nope. Disappointed every time he came out with new stuff. I wonder if he's ever had a moment's peace in that brain of his. Frankly, I pity him. I wish him the best.

Agreed , great playing and songs on those two KISS albums. There are some killer riffs on that first VVI album , many would’ve most likely been used for a KISS album had he stayed in the band but the solos are just a blur of noise for the most part
