Both literally in terms of weight and tonally. IMO the most underrated PW amp back in the day. Of all the one's I owned which included some VHT's, Boogies,I loved that Stereo Classic 120.

Resonance, Presence - loaded with 8 Sylvania 6L6's pushing my Langner DCP-1's, sounded awesome.

Dave F. is recommending the Avantone CLA power amps, I'm not sure if the Matrix power amps are still available, I get great results with the Duncan Power Stage 700 for this application....it is stupid loud and sounds great....David Phillips(LA sound design) gives the Duncan power stage power amps the nod,.... David posted a Slaved Naylor EVH rig a while back using them, cool stuff!

Do you tend to find the high cut essential when slaving?

I do not use the hi cut as the power stage is flat compared to if I was using another head or tube power amp to amplify the slaved signal.

He doesn't have a VHT Classic with the voicing switches either...it kills.

^^^^ u r correct!!! 2150 & 2100 are brother/sister ..definitely opposite enough to try both there.
