For the record - I wasn't trying to start anything, but I have had good experiences w/ Bob. I know there are stories of the exact opposite, but in the interest of being fair I posted my opinion and experience.
I heartily dis-agree w/ the people above. I just got a new pedalboard from Bob, and it's my 5th rig from him. i'm not a legit celebrity, and he's been great in every transaction.
With that being said - I don't believe he'd have any of those in-stock.
I thought the cab clone was a resistive load?
I can honestly say the load on the Suhr is leagues better than the load on the Torpedo live. None of the brittle-ness of the two-notes is found in the Suhr. The Suhr is a killer killer product. The simplicity of it all is what I dig.
Yeah, Wolf makes a great point - the moderns are newer models and I'm sure those were the JST ones. Also, It's been well over two years, maybe bordering on 3 that they've been in the new place. I've had my standard since September of '12, and when ordering it the pickups were spec'd as JST...
Hey man - for whatever it's worth, I've got all Suhr made Suhr pickups in my guitars and I love em. For whatever it's worth, I've got the SHH+ and SSV combo in a Suhr custom build and I love it to pieces.
Before I had a Suhr, I hated them.
Not that I've got 4, I really like them. I go back and forth on Tyler headstocks though. The new Suhr headstock options are terrible. They need to do away with those...
I've tried several things but it's still super fuzzy. I can't seem to dial it out. Is there a "reset"? It's definitely distorting the signal. I just plugged into the amp w/ a cabinet and the amp sounds killer. Amp into Torpedo...super fuzzy. No matter what preset, amp, miking, power amp...
Here's the situation;
For the past week i've been using the Live as a load box utilizing a different preset w/ miking off. I've been taking the line out to feed a power amp and utilize the Live simply as a load.
Last night at rehearsal, I plugged in the amp to the Torpedo and was taking a...
yeah - I didn't need anything from Bob on that account. I'll post the setup once I get the stuff back and all hooked up. There's an SL68 on it's way too :)
So I've had an RS10 for a while now on my midi board and just bought an RST 16 from Bob, and also had him wire up my board for me too. Can't say enough nice things about Bob - great service, great price and wonderful communication. Here's the picture of the board all wired up. Can't wait to get...
You've got a couple options;
Luxxtone as people have suggested, you could give Wayne guitars a call, Suhr, Anderson and the like too! The great thing about this day in age is if you want a quality instrument, you can get it.
pretty close...at some point though, kinda like Pete Thorn said in the SL68 vid, it's what you do with tone. Go out and write a kickass rock tune!
I've got a buddy that get in that 97%+ zone where it's just that close to Eddie, but he plays in a Foreigner, kicks ass and sounds great. If you...
Thanks guys - got going last night. This is going to become a HUGE, integral part of my rig. Now if only two notes will get a cab in there with Scumbacks...
when you downloaded the files - did they show up as wav files? I'm a little new to this and I downloaded a couple redwirez ones and would like to try them in the Torpedo live. Any help would be great.
