Hello Peter, Greetings from Berlin. Congratulations. I played it for a few minutes and it had that thick special sound -somewhat brown and AIC. Do you agree?
Same here, Daniel is a friend. I have had the amp here for a few days. I'd say it is a really well thought out, modern sounding amp that stis somewhere between Engl, Marshall and Driftwood. Features are great, feel is good too. The Cut control can make it sound a lot more modern than classic...
I like the idea of a HR having a Sweep control. And wouldn't it make sense for the amp to receive a contour control as well?
Who can talk Rick into this? I feel the amp has such a steep price, it deserves to have all options.
Really interesting. I fell in the love with the Badlander 100. It is such an awesome amp. Add a boost and it is Metal monster, too. I feel it is a great modern version of a 2203 with two channels, loop, clean and an extra gain stage. Awesome.
I was totally surprised when I recently got a 2025...
braintheory and Bram576: Thanks so much for the update. No Wizards to check out anywhere here in Germany, so this helps.
Actually, the UU is a real gem, but a little noisy.
I also find that I tend to dial in comparable tones in different amps.
So, I was trying to be wise and tried what I have...
Returning after a few months. Happy owner of the Über Ultra. I still consider a HR now and then.
Does anybody still have both or which was the one that went out the door. Please update me ... Is the HR KT88 worth the steeper price.
What's your thought of the triple gains and boosts?
Hmm, didn't you have a tight control on yours? I was under the impression that the tight control is a fixed part of the DR/TR mod. I have it on mine. The tight mode switch was an option though.
Not sure as the control panel seems a lot more direct than a HR or ÜU. So there are be less controls to tweak the sound. However, if it sounds great ...
Getting a Multiwatt and let Henric do the mod on that one will be more expensive and take a lot of time. If you want a modded one, get it now.
the result should be the same with any Rectifier, at least this is what Hernic claims. And the Multiwatt will give you the most options of all Rectifiers
I feel someone with the Ecstasy Pandora Mod should join in here as this is the latest revision of the circuit and it seems to be able to shift between different revisions of the Ecstasy.
I am also interested in a comparison of the Pandora to the 20th XTC which I have. I wonder if the Pandora can get more modern, tighter ....
I am pretty happy with the 20th, but it is not my choice for bone dry crunch or fast Metal riffing. Let's leave out the ÜU as it is obviously, designed to...
