I'm a huge fan of the load box/IR approach. With the Suhr Reactive Load and hosting the IR in my DAW, I can make changes after the fact quickly and efficiently without having to re-amp a whole track or album. I can also record cranked 100w amps silently at night.

I'm going to go against the grain and say the Quick Rod. I've had multiple Splawns over the years, and for lower tuned metal, I prefer the tighter and more focused Quick Rod.

The QR is my favorite amp on the planet and is the benchmark that I compare every amp to. GAS causes me to keep trying new things, but as soon as I A/B the flavor of the week to the Splawn, I ways just end up playing the Splawn.

So I've been interested in the SE-100 for ages. I know the OD100SE+ on paper has the same lead channel, but is that really the case? Curious to hear some thoughts from any of you who have played/owned both.
