My thoughts exactly. Plenty of USA companies making USA guitars for affordable prices custom or off the wall. No way in hell I'm paying anything over $1200 for guitar from a factory I know will cost <$300 per guitar (including hardware, boxes, case, import fees, etc).

You would not believe how cheap the cost is on guitars from Chinese, Indonesian and even Korean factories. It makes it really hard to purchase.
