As talked about in this thread:

I was on a kick where I wanted 2 of everything I liked. One to keep at home and another to keep at the shop. I rarely ever play at the shop so...

From Randall USA 4/7/15:
So, after three years of development, we are proud to announce that the new George Lynch Signature “HEADHUNTER” is ready for production and units can be reserved by ordering now.
As a tribute to Randall’s 45th Anniversary, we will be producing...
Once upon a time there was this kick ass karaoke bar called Rockin' Karaoke #37. James Brown and Little Richard got up to sing a song now and then. Ian Gillan, Robert Plant and David Coverdale sang songs here and there too. Ray Gillen and John Sykes sang from time to time. Layne Staley and Chris...
The hard rock guys who play Fender amps thread reminded me of this little story from the past.
There is a local hero guitarist here in Orange County named Kurt James. I have mentioned him in the past in other topics but here is a quick resume.
- Replaced Paul Gilbert in the band Black Sheep...
We've had this discussion on here several times before about some of the less than flattering things Eddie said about Randy after Rhoads passed away. With EVH saying that Randy really hadn't done anything that Eddie hadn't already done before him. And this is all in good fun and speculation but...
- Duncan double cream 59/Custom Hybrid pickup with cream pickup ring
- Floyd Rose 1984 with brass big block and brass fine tuners.
- Brass knob, brass square jack plate, brass strap buttons.
Oh and by the way, good luck fitting ANY other brand of pickup in that opening
I have had Dio's "Holy Diver" on heavy rotation over the last couple of weeks and I am blown away at how thin and wimpy Vivians tone is to open that album on "Stand Up and Shout". The rest of the songs have much better guitar tones. That one sounds like a transistor radio.
Without question the 5150 III 50 watter. It has a better clean, a way better vintage hard rock tone and a heavier modern metal tone. I love the voicing of the blue channel on the new one. That is what I felt the Peavey 5150's always lacked.
(I wrote this for the Dinosaur Rock Guitar forum but though someone else might like it)
The year is 1981 and I am a freshman in high school. I have an ok Aria Les Paul copy and a horrible Univox amplifier. I am still a jock, playing football and baseball for the school teams. I meet a kid on...
One day Steve brought in his new Charvel custom shop to show to us. It was a pre-production style in robins egg blue color. The thing was gorgeous and it played great and sounded great. I played and played the thing. It also had a gorgeous birdseye maple neck. Thanks Steve for bringing it in and...
I just finished talking to a buddy about this and thought it might make a funny thread. Keep in mind, I love talking about gear with most customers, and most people like you find on most forums. If you can operate a computer, get on line, register for a forum and type, then this won't apply and...
From Scott's (Digi Jams) thread:
Here's my advice to all bass players:
- Put only the low E string on your bass.
- Tune it down to D so we can play Unchained when I'm dialing in my tone.
- Take all frets above the 12th off your instrument. Try to avoid going above the 5th fret.
- Never play...
I finally got the new, made in Germany, Floyd Rose "1984" model trem system in the other day and this thing has a couple of really cool "throw back" features on it. First of all, it has the big brass block on it like the Floyds had in the early days. It also has brass fine tuners. Very cool...
