Jim Wagner Godwood/Darkburst combo for hot PAF heaven!

I have a Smallbox Combo with Sat Switch as well. I love it and I don´t use any kind of boost pedal with it. It´s perfect just the way Dave made it! Amazing amp! Congrats!

I don´t think Smallbox is a bright amp. Not at all! And I like my tone a lot brighter than what I heard in your clips. I usually set the presence knob around 6,5 or 7 and the gain on 7 or 8 with a R9 Les Paul. And keep in mind that it is a bright Les Paul. But everyone has his own tone...

Thanks! But I don´t think I want my Smallbox more refined and smoother... In fact, I wouldn´t change anything, except If I could make it a bit more aggressive and open sounding!

I would like to know the advantages of this upgrade...

It would be great, but here in my country it would cost me a lot of money to do that kind of experimentation.

Hey guys, Which speaker combo would work better on Friedman 2x12 Cabinet with my Smallbox? Right now, I´m using the G12M-65, since it is the stock speaker of the combo version and I´m pretty happy with the results. I wonder if anyone had the opportunity to try all of these combinations. 80´s...

I think the Sat Switch works really well for low volumes. But the amp really shines on volumes above 3 on BE channel with the sat switch off or above 5/6 with the Sat on. It is a great amp. Love it! I would love to know your settings. Right now, I´m using: Presence: 6 Bass: 7 Middle: 3,5/4...

Great tone as always! Are you using the Barber to boost the amp with the Sat switch on? In that case how are you controlling the feedback and the noise? Any noise gate or something like this?

I really like the tone I get from this small combat format. It´s unbeliavable! Of course it should work better with a closed back 4x12, but for me having this kind of portability with a great tone it´s ideal! We are always searching for the perfect tone and this quest never ends because we...

I´ve tried the Creamback H, but put the M back in. I didn´t like the harder top end. So, maybe I will take a shot with a Scumback M75 or J75.

I have the Sat Switch option on mine, and it is footswitchable. It´s really good to have this option, but the BE channel is fantastic and I spend most of my time on it. That being said, if I need to order it again, I would ask David to do exactly the same.
