New guitar needed - single P90, long scale, underdog

Yes, they are! Though, I want to keep my main axe, a Hamer Californian elite, the way it is. And somehow I believe that a full sized P90 will differ from one in a smaller package ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

New guitar needed - single P90, long scale, underdog

Hi there, as said above, I "need" a new guitar. I'm looking for the following: - super simple style - long(er) scale length for drop tunings (maybe 26") - P90 (maybe even Dogear?) - low action/ well built is a must - dirty gnarly aggressive sound is also a must I've stumbled across a slick...

Rockerverb MkI 50 Watt combo - what to expect from 6v6 tubes

Okay, I could have asked that question was easier: Will a rockerverb mki deliver a punchy and at least somewhat tight rhythm sound especially with palm mutes? All the best, Carlito

Rockerverb MkI 50 Watt combo - what to expect from 6v6 tubes

Hey guys, I recently sold my Diezel VH4 half stack. It was too big and there was too much money in it which I need for my family. Still, I liked the sound and punch of it. Also the responsiveness and percussiveness. When testing amps in music stores I tried out everything... Bogner, ALL...

Output transformers of VH4 killed with wrong cabinet input?

I did it once ;) well, it might happen, that the rectumfrier dies... Anyway - the spare fuse is dead, too. Will have to get one on monday. I don´t like waiting!

Output transformers of VH4 killed with wrong cabinet input?

Hey guys, I just tried switching on my VH4 and right after the lights went on the whole thing shut down. No reaction whatsoever. I had it serviced a couple of month ago and it got a new rectumfrier....so it should be ok, basically. After closer inspection, I saw that my little three year old...

Diezel Rearloaded 4X12 V30 feedback needed

Just realized: double post...frick... Good point, Vin! It's all up to your ears. So the next few days I'll see my local dealer and check out some more cabs. Internet can give you a good orientation but you better hear and feel it in person.

Diezel Rearloaded 4X12 V30 feedback needed

Owner of both vh4 and german made fl v30 for a couple of years now. To me, it's all too stiff and harsh....yes, it's super fastand percussive but the rockness is missing. I think I'll buy a rearloaded Diezel cab with v30/ greenback mix which I heard in an old Marshall cab and really liked. More...

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

Thanks again! Will have a look for used speakers but I believe nothing much around here in Germoney concerning 65s. Since my cab is frontloaded I guess that it might still be too focused...but we'll see. Maybe gonna have a meeting with a friend of mine who has a really old Marshall rearloded...

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

Haven't heard them in person is making this a tough call. I guess that the 65 might fit me quite well. Could you give it a try and describe the tonal differences between the two cab mixtures in terms of punch, grind growl, bass, stiffness, rockness etc. Thanks for all your help slyvren!

Diezel Rearloaded 4X12 V30 feedback needed

As a VH4 and Diezel frontloaded cabinet owner looking for more rockness in his tone (meaning looking for a new cabinet) I can tell you that frontloaded cabinets seem to be too stiff. If ever something is gonna happen in my thread you might check it out.

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

Thanks Slyvren, that sounds good to me. Did you also have the v30/greenback mix? Would be great if you could say something about that (or the contrast/differences), too.

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

Hey guys, I'm running a vh4 through a Diezel 412 fl with v30s. The cabinet is roughly six to seven years old. Three years ago I swapped out g12k100 for the v30 to get more dirt. That worked pretty well. Today, this setup sounds too harsh, focused and stiff to me. I want - again - more dirt and...
