    SS rec plug swap—is rebias needed?

    I've been curious about this on my DS40 so I just tried it.... At 120V, Tube to SS rectifier. Plate went from 453 to 467. Bias current from 41 to 48.

    DS40 impedance mismatch

    Was swapping cabs with my Dirty Shirley and accidentally left the amp at 16 ohms when plugging into a 2x12 @ 8 ohms. It sounded really great but after realizing my error switched it to 8 to match. I've read in the past that old bluesbreaker combos came wired with a similar mismatch. Does anyone...

    I have a Friedman 4x12 with the 25 watt greenies on top and 60 watt V30's on bottom. How is the 170 watt rating calculated? I love the cab but get a bit nervous with a 100 watt head. Thanks..............................Jesse
