    Dang it, Dave....

Well, for me the DS feels a bit looser, more chewy - if that makes sense - but in a good way. I prefer the playing feel of the DS. But the difference actually can hardly be described - as it was said often - you have to play them, to get an idea! Words cannot explain it good enough. Especially...

    Dang it, Dave....

Well, I had them both, still have the Dirty Shirley. DS is different, especially in playing-feel. A good guitar, maybe a boost, and the DS - that is all you need to rock! No need for two channels!

    Small box or DS??

It really depends, what sounds you are looking for and what style you are playing. You have to play them by yourself - they are so different, and you cannot choose one of them just by recomendation. The Dirty Shirley is the best amp for Blues-/Classic-/Southern Rock of any kind (of all amps I...

Which Friedman amp is voiced the best for classic rock?

Had the BE 100, Smallbox, Taco, DS and DS-Mini. Best for Classic Rock is Dirty Shirley or Dirty Shirley mini (if you don't need the extra 20W)!

Which line splitter for Torpedo Cab?

Hello, I just need a short advise: I am planning to buy a Torpedo Cab - want it to use on stage and send one signal to the PA, one signal dierctly to my monitor (aktive FRFR). I read a post here, where Guillaume mentioned to use a splitter box - but I cannot find the thread again. So my...

"What does "That's all I can say for now" mean to you?" Well, nothimg special. Dave wrote this in May 2015 - seven months ago! And he announced, he will introduce the amp at Winter-Namm. I think, Dave knows already, what kind of power section he is going to use in this amp - after seven...

    SmallBox solo boost?

+1! Koko Boosts work perfect as well, currently I use a "Minotaur" from "Velvet Pedals" (also a very good Klon Klone).

    smallbox hi gain

I can confirm - I use the Archer with my small box, Koko Boost and Empress Para-EQ work well, too. Another pedal, which I like, comes from Greece: The Velvet Minotaur. I like it with the Plexy-channel as well. Might be a good option for people in Europe. (http://www.velvetpedals.com/minotaur.html)

    3 dummy-questions concerning speaker load

    1. If I turn on my amp without the speakers plugged in - what damage would that cause on the amp? 2. If I choose the wrong impedance - does it inevitable cause a damage? 3. If i turn on the amp, but leave it in standby - do I have to plug in the cabinet or could it be without? Sorry for the...
