Traded my Soldano Hot Rod 50+ for this Helios 50. KILLER!!! Hot rodded M tones. If I could switch between the hot and plexi inputs I’d sell my BE100. The gain channel in the plexi input is killer to.
Obligatory pictures of course!
Any one know what the value of the volume pots were in the Pre-Lawsuit Singlecuts from the 2000s? I had to replace the bridge VP and the CTS 500k pot I installed seems to add a lot of high end and heat to the pickup.
So not real metal but I’ve been eyeing SSS strats for a while and got the opportunity to play a bunch (Custom Shops, Anderson’s, Fender Ultra, etc.) this afternoon and walked away with this Jeff Beck signature. I’m not usually a fan of the Noiseless pickups, modern saddles or roller ball nut...
Picked up a mint JCM2000 DSL 50 watt. It’s a 2004 so no worries at all about bias drift. She sounds great though both GBs and the Mesa cabs. It’s loaded with JJs so I swapped an RCA into V1 and it now sounds glorious!! So happy to have a Marshall back in the stable.
So I actually received this last week but was on the fence as to if I was going to keep. I got it with the $1k price discount and after living with it and tweaking a bit I’ve decided to keep it. If I decide down the road to move it I won’t loose my shirt lol
I’m able to get great tones out of...
So what’s the consensus on these? I have an opportunity to pick one up locally at a good price. The YT vids are hit and miss. Sounds like the cleans are nice but i’m
Not sure of the gain channel. Does it have enough to pull off hard rock and metal? I don’t do much down tune Dejent type stuff...
The title says it all. I’m looking at picking up a JCM2000 DSL and have read about the bias drift problem in earlier year production but am wondering if there are specific years I should avoid? It’s a’98 and the guy says it was looked at by a known competent tech and the bias didn’t drift. Any...
So I traded my BE100 for a blacked out Mesa Multi Watt Dual Rectifier. I’ve played recs back in the 90s but I gotta say…I’m really impressed! The clean channel is great and I can get some nice crunch tones out of channel 2 and great high gain out of 3. The only thing that would make it better is...
Found her used at GC in damn near mint condition! She sounds great, might need the action lowered slightly and got to try her out through a Badlander. That’s a legit amp!
So no talk about this here?
With banking options and univibe, pre/post it might replace my Timeline, Mobius and BlueSky
Preloaded with 62 effect algorithms:
◦ 10 new effects algorithms: Polyphony, Prism Shift, Bouquet Delay, Head Space, Weedwacker, Even-vibe, Wormhole, Instant Flanger...
Anyone try running their BE100/50 or SmallBox through Classic Lead 80s? I’ve got one in a 112 that sounds phenomenal with my Mark IV and someone’s selling a pair locally at a good price and I’m thinking of picking them up for my 212 but am unsure how they’d sound with my BE100.
Hey guys - Someone’s selling this local to me. They have it listed as a Mark V. Obviously it’s not but what is it? A Mark I or II? I don’t think it’s a III. It’s in kinda roughly shape. Is it worth picking up?
Hey Guys - Does anyone make a device that changes the impedance coming out of your amp? I know I can mismatch running 16->8 or 4 or 8-> 4 but I’d really like to match impedance but my Mesa doesn’t have a 16 ohm tap.
Crazy question guys. I’ve got a BE100, 101b, Mark IV. Utilizing one specific power cable my amps sound great. Using any of the other cables I have slowly make my amps sound like I’m running too much gain or have terrible fret buzz. Just noisy, harsh and shitty sounding. Going back to the “good”...
Up for sale is my 2018 fully loaded Splawn Quick Rod with switchable Drop B+, mid scoop switch, new/old switch and updated clean channel. Recently serviced and retubed with a brand-new matched quad of Ruby EL34BW. Still has original pres with only 15 hours or fewer play time. In like new...
So I know Friedman cabs come without casters as Dave likes the interplay of the cab and floor. Have any of you installed casters only to find "thump" missing? I immediately installed casters upon bringing home my BE half stack but have noticed the BE100 half stack at the local Guitar Center...
