Yup. I rocked a Classic 50 4x10 and also had a Classic 30 with a Red Fang in it. Those amps covered a lot of ground.

I agree this is part of the problem. I absolutely hated the sound of the ROV 25 combo, yet I liked the head through a 2x12 closed back cab. I guess they’re trying to cash in on the portability factor but I’d bet it would sound a lot better if it more along the dimensions of a 6505 combo.

I liked the Badlander 50 when I tried it out. Definitely keeping my eye on this one.

I had a H9 max for a while. While it’s a decent enough pedal, it’s limited to using just 1 algorithm at a time, is almost impossible to tweak without the app and imo is WAY overpriced for what it does. $900 for this new unit is straight up insane.

That’s my go to as well. Extreme with a boost to tighten up the bottom end is where it’s at.

I like the mark v with cabs that have mixed speakers. I replaced one of the Mesa v30s in my 2x12 recto cab with a creamback 65 and it smoothed out the response and made the amp ’less pesky/drastic‘ when making changes…. but then again that speaker combo sounds great with just about everything...
