Techflex F6 is great to make your own loom. Measure how many cables you want to include and grab the smallest diameter loom needed. Amazon was selling Techflex. You can use cable velcro ties every few feet to keep the loom tight. It worked well for me snd was durable to gig with.
I’ve been enjoying the Suhr Thornbucker + in the Bridge position and it splits to SC very nicely as they designed it to, if you are looking for a PAF style, might consider it.
Below are already in the works or paid for:
1) Marshall Plexi or 2204 Clone-Ceriatone 2204 on the way, if it doesn’t work a Plexi will be next.
2) KSR PA-50 Power Amp-have a gear friend fixing to sell me to use with tube preamps.
3) Custom Built Strat-friend and luthier is currently building it...
Twin City is buffered and with the phase switch and drag control, you should have a solid unit. The Fulltone aby with soft switches option is a good unit also. Those are two of the nicest aby options.
For a simple, good price point, first repeat is present but doesn’t get in the way Delay…I would say look at the Dunlop Echoplex. If you need tap tempo, they have a little external switch to pair with it.
Oh yeah, agreed. You can only glean so much from a demo but a good representation is def helpful and a good starting point. I need to check and see if any newer demos have been made for the Rev.
Same here, I almost grabbed one to try because you never always quite know until you try them with your rig. I opted for the PT-15, but would still like to try one.
Cmats Analog Chorus as mentioned above, great warm tones at a low price. Gonna be hard to beat.
The Boss CE-5 Analog version is also good but more than the Cmats and prob. harder to find.
That was a good performance you linked. They were tight!
I saw them in 2001 (one of the my fav shows ever too) and they played a kick a— version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. I also saw them again in 2019 it was I believe with new singer. awesome.
Anyways, back to the amp tone. It’s...
Yes, agreed. It’s a balance that takes practice for me where it becomes more second nature and don’t have to think about but just implement it while playing.
