Thanks, Ross.
I think you are right.
I did some troubleshooting,
and it only comes on when I have my Diezel Herbert Mk3 (180W) running.
It never comes on when I just run the other amps.
I figure it's just cooling due to the increased wattage.
I'll try to recreate it, and take some video to send...
Hi Ross,
I'm using a new Reload 2 to attenuate my amp wall.
I'm using it in the attenuator loop of a KHE switching system.
It's been working great for about 2 weeks now.
Last night and today, after about 30 mins of playing, I'm hearing a whirring noise begin out of the Reload 2.
Seems to be...
I like your list.
I like that you have So Tired at #3.
Jake disliked that song. Bob Daisley wrote it,
and got it on the album. Jake didn't want to do it.
Yet, it's a great song, that works well.
No Bone Movies is one of my favorite songs by Ozzy/Randy.
Randy brings some of his Quiet Riot style to the band.
Also, I LOVE Randy's tone on Blizzard and Diary.
He was changing the world of guitar playing, and had his own sound.
Remember that the longest Delay available to Randy was only...
Yes, you can use a Speaker Cab or a Load Box.
Have you biased an amp before? It's serious business, and an art.
It's very dangerous, keep one hand in your pocket
You can bias any of these power tubes into the VHX: KT77, EL34, 6L6,
but you need to bias the amp. It has Dual Bias controls inside to bias the pairs.
Take it to a professional if you haven't done it before.
Also, I like my VH4 and my VHX with KT77s.
And I have a used Herbert Mk3 coming in...
My original band used to play a local bar regularly, and I would wear an Iron Maiden t-shirt sometimes, and every time we'd play the second set, this one drunk guy would yell out "Live After Death!",
Finally after like 10 times of this, I asked him from the stage: "Are you asking us to play the...
Microphonic Test with the Mk2: If you tap the tube, and the LED lights all the way, the tube is microphonic.
Otherwise, it's just reading the natural noise in a particular tube (you're not looking for a number)
I've found a number of microphonic tubes like this (I also did the old fashioned...
The Valve Tester Mk2 is still the best investment I made last year.
Works perfect for me. I've found worn or microphonic tubes in most of the used amps I've bought,
and a simple tube change turned them into fire-breathing beasts.
Best example: PRS MT100: bought used-mint condition, amp sounded...
I used only Monster or Mogami for 20 years,
but now I'm loving Pig Hog Cables, especially for the price.
I have my whole amp wall and switching system connected with Pig Hog cables
and it sounds excellent!
I've used a TU-2 for 20 years.
Tried to upgrade to the TU-3,
but the TU-3 was un-useable.
Bought a Peterson.....hate the strobe too
Still using the TU-2...
Maybe I need to look at the Polytune 3
Move on. Quickly.
That guy is what we musicians call a FLAKE. There are a lot of them.
If you want to put together a band, get ready to wade through a bunch of 'em...
