I've got one of these, and I think it's great. Wider than a lot of 2x12s, and I think that accounts for what it sounds more full like a 4x12:

I also still have one of the old ADA Split...
If I didn't already have an FM9, this would be very appealing. Am AMP/cab with a block in front and some time-based effects after would cover 98% of my live gigs. I really liked the Friedman IR-J, but would have still needed another device for effects.
I wanted to like WGS, but ultimately ended up flipping every pair I tried. They position a lot of their speakers as comparable (or even improved) alternatives to speakers by other manufacturers, and I think that may set up the wrong expectation. If you know what you like in one of the existing...
It's bland, and I don't think the video is doing it any favors. What's the rest of the album like, that this is what they're leading with? Even though I think Dave is a crazy asshat, he's tended to have stronger showings in the last couple of decades than Metallica. All the hype over this being...
Typically V2. With marshall-style amps i think adds another gain stage before the cathode follower.

I don't know that any of them are more reliable than any other. What does probably vary is the level of screening/testing that happens between the production line and you. I tend to like Tung Sol and Mullard tubes in various preamp positions (still a JJ for the cathode follower and either a...
Banker guitars seem to be one of the few builders who are licensing the shapes from Gibson. They're doing '58 spec Explorers and Vs for south of $5K:

I'm not a fan of the relic'd finish, but I imagine they'd do whatever you wanted.
The "you've never met me before, and trust me I'm not a scammer, but I'm looking for suggestions about how to cut corners on the messaging requirements" approach isn't a great first impression.
My suggestion would be to contribute to the threads, add some value to the community. The threshold...
Ozzy's best songs were written by members of his band, and it seems like things really started losing steam after No More Tears, which is when they increasingly started leaning on outside songwriters. Maybe the well was starting to dry up, or the material wasn't up to snuff? Not everyone is a...

I think Steve Harris/Iron Maiden has been using the P Bass/Flatwound formula since way back. At least part of it has to be the player's physical approach to the instrument. That said, P Bass with flats isn't what I'd reach for when I wanted a piano-like, percussive bass tone.
I have a pair of Line 6 G75: one lives in my rack for when I'm gigging the half stack, and the other one is in the floorboard of my smaller rig. Last time I checked, the G70/G75 generation were still the lowest latency of any consumer wireless.
The thing about the 2.4GHz-based systems is making...
Janick > Kirk, at least these days. Kirk talks like his mediocrity is part of some artistic journey, and really it seems more like laziness. Janick doesn't seem to take himself nearly that seriously.
Try out a classical guitar somewhere if you can. They're a different beast. Lots of knowledge is applicable between the two, but it's a different feel.
The string spacing will be wider on a classical, to accommodate that style of playing. Also, classical players tend to grow their nails...
2203 and goose the front end with a pedal. In my case, I have a Ceriatone 2203 with 3-way bright switch and NFB control to further tweak things.

Headfirst Alta. I haven't played one, but if I didn't already have four amps that do the Marshall thing, I'd be all over an Alta.
I chose BATM, but I really like both of them for the snapshot they give into the development of JEL and his collaborators at the time, as well as the production. I have a bit more affection for BATM, purely as a result of nostalgia. 17 years old, senior year of high school, fall of 1986, and had...
I give a slight edge to Metallica, but that's largely based on their output prior to the Black album. By and large, Megadeth have had the more interesting music in the last few decades, and a large part of that is probably because Mustaine is still so toxic.
