I’ve bought two guitars upward of 3k and I’ve disliked/didn’t get along with both.
I currently have a soft cap of 2400, which I think still allows me to buy cool stuff (Kaizen, Knaggs, Prestige), but keeps me away from making worse financial decisions (3k relic’ed Novo).
I moved it from one room to another and actually used it for about an hour, plugged it into my computer and actually tested the recording functionality lol. I wish I wasn't so intimidated by its format and learning curve to get it up and running. But I should really sit down with it.
I loved how this played. It felt great overall and definitely punched above its weight class (at least when compared to the other guitars in my rotation).
Gibson will always be home to me. I played a Les Paul exclusively for about 10 years and then got an ES-335.
These 25.5 shredders are foreign to me, but this one played amazing.
Yeah for sure. I don’t do my own setups though and will eventually take it to my guy for a 60 dollar string change lol - nut slot, intonate, truss rod adjustment, etc.

Put string through tuning machine.
Bend string.
Turn tuning machine.
I hold the excess string down onto the headstock, but it still goes above my winds. I've never done any knot nonsense.
I got a really great deal on an Ibanez RG5121 Prestige at Guitar Center, of all places, yesterday. It's my first Ibanez and I'm really pleased. I don't consider myself a shredder by any stretch of the means (just ask @Techdeth how our lessons went lol), but I do play with some gain when I'm with...
I re-read what I wrote several times and I'm wondering why I think everyone needs that strat sound. I def won't be recording with it lol. But I don't mind the quack.
Ahh shit, my friend has an old amp with a two-prong cord. He's been meaning to take it to get rewired. I assume most places that work on stereos and TVs and electronics can probably get that sorted.
I never had a Tele growing up and when I got back into playing and buying gear several years ago, I thought I was missing something. I bought an Esquire, a Mexican Tele, a G&L ASAT, and some other T-shaped piece of shit. They're just not for me.
SSS Strats. I think every guitarist should have...
