500T or Black Winter for my Gibbo?
I guess I’m the only one that voted for the BW. I like the 500T but I found it a bit one dimensional. The BW is a lot more versatile than one would imagine, more like a super Distortion with a bit less low mids, it cleans up fairly well. Both are great though. SH-6N is one of my fav neck... -

I can’t reply specifically to the various tremo-o-verbs. But I can give some insight into heads Vs combos. I think for low gain and clean stuff, combos are great. Low wattage, under 50 watts. When it comes to more powerful amps and higher gain, combos are problematic. The cabs rattle, and... -

I just don’t think I’m a Mesa sort of guy
I’ve become obsessed with simplicity and badass single channel amps. The less pedals and shit I’ve got to step on the better. I want to be able to back off the guitar volume and get cleans and edge of breakup, not switch channels, “brown sound” if you will. I play high gain heavy tones mostly... -
I just don’t think I’m a Mesa sort of guy
I was a Mesa guy for a long time. But the tone journey being what it is, I outgrew the rectifier thing. I’ve tried a couple marks, didn’t care for them. Had a Royal Atlantic, it was ok but dull dynamically. Now I’ve got a Carstens Grace and couldn’t be happier with that amp. -
