    NAD: Bogner Helios Eclipse

It's almost too refined. The amp is close to mix ready sounding out of the gate, when I want a little more controlled chaos.

    NAD: Bogner Helios Eclipse

I was just straight into the amp for this video, no pedals. I am digging how raw and open the Helios is, and it's been super easy to dial in out of the box.

    NAD: Bogner Helios Eclipse

I found the Uber Ultra a bit too filtered and closed sounding for my tastes, and I wasn't gravitating to it compared to my other amps. With the density full counter clockwise it would open up more. Overall, I could achieve good tones out of it, but it was missing something compared to what I am...

    NAD: Bogner Helios Eclipse

I ended up trading in my Bogner Uber Ultra for this new Bogner Helios Eclipse. This amp is killer.

Club Secret Amp (Collab between Headfirst, Monomyth, KSR)

I normally prefer 100W minimum and my favorite amp I have is the Diezel Herbert MK3 which is 180W. This amp get super loud and stays fairly large still with the depth knob. It will definitely be loud enough with a drummer when using a 4x12. It's naturally very tight though so won't get as wide...

Club Secret Amp (Collab between Headfirst, Monomyth, KSR)

Got one of the Club Secret amps, and made some videos of it in case folks were curious how it sounded. Amp has a 50 watt Marshall style power section with a modded SLO/Rectifier style preamp. Collaboration between Headfirst, Monomyth, and KSR, and was limited to just 6.

Thinking about getting my first Rectifier, I’m slightly confused.

I recently picked up a revg 2 channel Dual Rectifier and it's fantastic. If you aren't interested in the collector aspect, you don't need an old one. The new multi watt dual rectifiers (supposedly close to the rev f) are fantastic and with a boost are great at low tuned metal. The used...

Bogner Uber Ultra Tone Check // Discussion

I also like Channel 2 Uber since the metamorph knob tight/fat can super shape the tone. I typically keep it in Presence Uber and the density half way. Basically this exact tone, made this video this past weekend:

Bogner Uber Ultra Tone Check // Discussion

The clean is ok, the crunch is ok, but if clean/crunch/metal is what you want then I think the Bogner Ecstasy 101b is the best option imo. This amp really excels for its ability to shape hard rock / metal tones with the presence shifting (basically mid cuts), and the different gain structures on...

Bogner Uber Ultra Channel 2 knob turning

The density can change the structure of the amp a decent amount, at least with it on 0 it sounds more open and closer to my Ecstasy 101b, but yeah it's still a Bogner with the low mid style tone.

Bogner Uber Ultra Channel 2 knob turning

Yeah there is so much to this amp. It seems like it would be simple but there is almost endless tones you can get across the presence shifts, density and metamorph.

Diezel Herbert MK3 Channel 2 and 3 Knob turning in Drop C

Made a video of the Herbert Channel 2/3 tone dialing for metal tones in Drop C. Love this amp

Anyone here also played a Diezel? Looking for another amp to blend with my VHX…

I have a Diezel Herbert Mk3, Diezel VH4, Bogner Uber Ultra (EL34) and Bogner Ecstasy 101b. If you want pure metal for blending than Uber Ultra, but I would personally choose the Bogner Ecstasy 101b to blend. The Ecstasy has very thick low mids and can do high gain metal as well. Here is a video...

    So, Regarding The VH4...

This is the best video I have seen demonstrating the differences of tubes on the VH4:

    VH4 at home?

Just to add to what everyone else is saying, the VH4 is amazing at bedroom levels. Even my 180 watt Herbert sounds great at whisper volumes.

Diezel VH4 Electric Buzz on first start up, is this normal?

My Diezel VH4 (2023 model) sometimes make an electric buzz on first start up in a day. It sounds like electricity flowing through the transformer. It typically lasts about a minute or so (1 minute 40 seconds on this video) and after that goes to a normal hum. The amp is working perfectly...
