I also like Channel 2 Uber since the metamorph knob tight/fat can super shape the tone. I typically keep it in Presence Uber and the density half way. Basically this exact tone, made this video this past weekend:

The clean is ok, the crunch is ok, but if clean/crunch/metal is what you want then I think the Bogner Ecstasy 101b is the best option imo. This amp really excels for its ability to shape hard rock / metal tones with the presence shifting (basically mid cuts), and the different gain structures on...

The density can change the structure of the amp a decent amount, at least with it on 0 it sounds more open and closer to my Ecstasy 101b, but yeah it's still a Bogner with the low mid style tone.

Yeah there is so much to this amp. It seems like it would be simple but there is almost endless tones you can get across the presence shifts, density and metamorph.

Just to add to what everyone else is saying, the VH4 is amazing at bedroom levels. Even my 180 watt Herbert sounds great at whisper volumes.
