I think the first 2 albums of Polyphia were much more interesting than the newer stuff. Much more melodic for sure

I agree with you, I mean these players are amazing, but not the type of stuff I can listen to all day...although very entertaining to watch on Youtube.:) Mad respect for their dedication and effort to get to that level though.

If you want your tone to be a bit brighter then get 500k, otherwise like others had mentioned get 250k for single coils. I like the dimarzio pots taper, or if you do a lot of volume swells, get the yjm low friction pots

I mean...the term 'best' is very subjective. What sounds good to me might not be good for you..so...not yet I guess? Hahaha I think we as musicians are always trying to experiment or chase different tones all the time..it's an endless cycle in my opinion.

Probably won't be similar to a 4x12, but I have a custom 2x12 oversized-widebody cab with the speakers in diagonal position, close cab and it sounds pretty huge. I live in an apartment as well so size is quite a bit of an issue.
