I've always liked A Perfect Circle better than Tool but I am personally loving this new Tool album.
I've liked previous Tool albums ok but not as much as A Perfect Circle. IMO this one sounds like Tool but with a twist that they have never done. Great riffs, great production, etc... I like...
Sounds great IMO! Sounds very similar to my '94' Mesa Boogie Trem-o-verb with BOSS SD-1 in the front. Just a little less crunchy and more middy. Definitely love it!!
Looks killer!! Love the purple on purple look. Congratulations!!
I talked to Mike alot over the years and went with the HR25 as my final Soldano amp built by him in 2015. He will be missed IMO.
Great topic. I am just looking for the "one" best delay. I try to keep my pedals simple, if any. I like to run the guitar straight to the amp but would like to add a killer delay. I run a OD at times.
Any suggestions for the single best delay?
Thanks! I have thought about the pickups and a few different other things but don't want to go to one directional with it. Still considering things though!
The raw brass aging so fast has surprised me but for me it adds to the overall look I was going for.
The raw brass tailpiece and knobs have aged a lot from playing already. I am surprised they have aged so quickly but I guess them being raw brass and my sweat has caused it.
Thanks! For me the mismatch is the unique part I am going for. Pretty much every guitar made has matching hardware. The mismatch for me is the unique part and what I am personally looking for.
I agree. When I first installed the pickguard I had planned on making it a Hetfield "Rusty" replica but decided I wanted to try and go different. Think i will leave the push/pull/3 knob layout for now.
Can't seem to get a good pic that shows the chrome tailpiece studs but the studs are stock chrome with the brass tailpiece. In person the contrast is much better personally. Lighting issues seem to always be my problem. The pickguard is much more rusted also. :D
Thanks guys! I'm loving the looks and love the way this guitar plays and sounds. It just has that "it" tonally.
Think I might just leave it as is for now. I personally think it is unique and that is what I was going for looks wise.
Thanks guys! I have loved the guitar for years. It has always played and sounded great but just wanted something different and kind of unique looks wise. I think I am happy with the looks at the moment.
Right now it has a push/pull pot but it only switches from the bridge to neck pickup, no...
Thanks! I kind of have the same feeling as I love the pickguard and control knobs.
As for the tailpiece. I do not want the tailpiece and bridge to match personally. I want it to be different with some contrast between the brass and the chrome. Just want this guitar to be different from...
Actually everything on this guitar is aged from playing. The finish, hardware, etc.. is scratched up, dinged, etc.. from gigging and playing over the years. The guitar is a gig guitar in person. Alot of cosmetic dameage.
The new brass parts are just aging naturally at the moment but even...
Added the rusted pickguard and raw brass control knobs and tailpiece. Think I will leave the rest of the hardware chrome for contrast and something completely different.
