So do you have to move the fx cables for loop from amp to amp when you switch amps on this switcher or is there some sort of work around?

You would need to use an attenuator with a built in loop like the Fryette. Then the loop devices are always there if you need them. You wouldn’t use your amps built in loops, unless there’s an effect you always have on for a specific amp.
